Are you a Licensed Massage Therapist?
Yes, I am a Florida State Massage Therapist (Lic# MA 41224) and a member of Florida State Massage Therapy Associate in excellent standing. I hold occupational licenses in Palm Beach and Broward counties.
How long are your massage sessions?
Massages are scheduled for 60 or 90 Minutes. Please add additional 5 to 10 minutes if you are a new client. I will ask you to fill out some forms and learn about you.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes, I do offer Gift Certificates. It is an excellent gift idea all year long. If needed, they are transferable - just let us know and we will mail/give you the one with the new name.
Do you offer any massage session packages?
Yes, I do. I have "Buy five - get six sessions," and "Ten sessions" packages. You could split the packages and we will issue you separate certificates. You need to pay for the package before the first session in full.
What are your hours of operation?
The earliest appointment can be scheduled for 8.00 AM and the latest for 8.00PM - 7 days a week
What is my first appointment like?
I would arrive about 5 minutes earlier than scheduled appointment time to fill out health forms. This also gives you and the therapist time to get to know each other and find the best method of treatment. Always be open and honest about your medical history so I can provide you with the best quality of service.
What types of massage do you offer?
Rather than offer a certain type of massage, I offer a combination of styles specifically geared to address your body needs. Combining different styles of massage to get the best results, I integrate skill and intuition to help you feel better, faster!
What is Deep Tissue Massage?
Deep Tissue massage is a method of massage intended to address the deeper layers of muscle and myofascial tissues (Thin filament surrounding the muscles). There are many methods of Deep Tissue work but the results are focused on reaching the areas that are, under normal circumstances, untouchable and cause us much pain and distress.
Do you offer Massage Sessions for Companies and Special Events?
Yes I do. Please call or e mail for availability.
How far in advance do I need to make an appointment?
In order to get your preferred appointment times, I recommend you to set your appointment as far in advance as possible. Most of my clients receive the sessions on regular basis - that helps them to assure my availability.
I would like to make an appointment, what do I do?
Follow these steps:
Select 2 or 3 dates you would like for your massages and contact us either by e-mail (Massage@majesticfeelings.com) or telephone (561-302.2314). We will do our best to accomodate your choices
What do I wear?
Depending on the techniques I am going to use during a session, you might or might not need to undress. For a full body massage, most people fully undress. Though, you may choose to wear underwear. I will give you an opportunity to undress, and you will be covered with a sheet at all times except the area being worked on. Genitals are never exposed or massaged at any time.
What if I am overweight or uncomfortable with my body?
Many people feel uncomfortable with their bodies and hope to get a massage once the weight or cellulite is gone. Don't let this stop you. As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I have seen bodies in every imaginable shape and size, from young to old. I am not there to judge your build - I am here to deliver relief from pain or just take a mini vacation.
How does massage help my painful and tight muscles?
Massage can help relieve many muscle tensions from a stiff neck to sore wrist from typing all day to a clenched jaw. By using stretching and kneading strokes, tension is often released.
I was recently injured. What can massage do?
Massage can usually help heal things like tendonitis, strains or sprains. Massage reduces the inflammation in the area and increases circulation, flushing the toxins out and bringing in nutrients. Massage can also be helpful for disk injuries as well, but you must first consult a doctor before pursuing treatment. Massage has been known to help increase range of motion in a joint.
Can massage prevent new Injuries from occurring?
By reducing chronic tension, there is less chance of muscles being injured. If they aren't strained and relaxed they are less likely to be injured.
My joints don't seem to be as strong as before. Can massage get my range of motion back?
Yes. Beside working the muscles around the joint, many therapists work on the joint itself, stretching and putting it through range of motion, as well as stimulating circulation to that area, providing a natural lubricant for your joint. It may also help relieve pain of osteoarthritis.
I have terrible posture. Can massage help?
Yes. By getting tension out of strained muscle and joint and surrounding fascia, your body can return to a more natural posture. Massage may also relieve contracted muscle and pain caused by abnormal curvatures such as scoliosis.
One thing you should be aware of is to drink plenty of water for the next day or two following a massage. Massage can increase circulation by breaking up toxins in your body and restoring it with nutrients. Your body needs to get rid of those toxins.
